OUR HISTORY

ARECOR’s team has over two decades of experience in the development of leading clean energy and hydrokinetic technologies

ARECOR’s genesis stretches back over two decades to when its Founder, Imad Hamad, and a team of visionary engineers leveraged their aerospace and aeronautics expertise to develop the GEN-I hydrokinetic turbine. This groundbreaking project set new industry standards with our prototype operating failure free for 34,522 hours.

Since its inaugural innovation, ARECOR has established itself as a leader in clean energy technology. The company has continued to break records with the development of the GEN-III and GEN-IV turbines, each setting new records for their power coefficient. These advancements underscore ARECOR's pioneering role in hydrokinetic technology.

Today, ARECOR is reshaping the renewable energy landscape through its innovative turbine technologies and a growing portfolio of clean energy projects worldwide. The company’s relentless drive for innovation ensures its position at the forefront of the clean energy transition.

  • Peter Tyree serves as the Chairman of the UNSW-Energy Institute. He is also an adjunct University Professor in Electrical and Telecommunication Engineering.

    As the custodian of the Tyree Group, he is a seasoned entrepreneur and philanthropist, contributing significantly to technological and educational advancements.

Bechara Shamieh

  • Over 25 years' experience as a senior level executive (with qualifications in Accounting and Law) and advisor to many private, public and foreign companies,

    Bechara has led and advised on AU$30bn+ of corporate transactions including, M&A, corporate finance and IPO’s.
